Glass half empty? Half full? Overflowing?

I recently listened to a podcast in which it was suggested that the binary way of thinking about that glass was limiting. Think about it. Why does a positive think only go half way? Why fill up that glass and have it running over? I suspect if you ask people you may hear that the idea of so much good happening does not seem realistic or even possible.
However, what if you could have it if you just tweaked your thinking a little more? We can all agree that a glass have full suggests a positive way of looking at things. What if the glass only gets half full because we only look at half of the positive things happening in our lives? What if we could learn to recognize all the things…big and little…that are blessings….that are positive….that are encouraging…that lead us to wonderful life experiences?

Look around you now….what do you notice? As I write this I am at my desk and notice my orchid blooming a brilliant violet. I notice that I have music playing in the background that lifts me up. I notice the sun coming up to start our day. Get the idea? It is all the little things that beginning to fill that cup and will eventually leave it overflowing.
How do you cultivate the overflowing mentality? Slow down and start noticing everything around you. You will be surprised at what you see, hear, smell, feel, and taste. This world is filled with amazing things we just miss it sometimes.

Until next time….
