Julia Malczynski, MSW, LSW
Julia Malczynski graduated from the University of Southern California with a master’s degree in Social Work. In addition to working with homeless women and children who were facing the challenges associated with poverty, Julia had the opportunity to assist older adults with addressing the personal, social, and environmental problems that arise as people age. She continues to dedicate herself in helping individuals develop the tools and coping strategies needed to overcome the symptoms associated with anxiety and depression as well as the grieving process. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) are three interventions that she utilizes and finds effective when providing services.
While facing obstacles in life is inevitable, Julia believes each challenge gives us the opportunity for self improvement and a sense of accomplishment when overcoming unexpected stressful situations. By accepting and facing hardships head on, we are able to enhance our confidence to and experience more peace in our lives.
